When is the Greater Gulf State Fair?
The 68th Annual Greater Gulf State Fair will take place from October 28 - November 6, 2022.
What time does the fair open and close?
Fair hours are as follows

When is the Rodeo?
The Rodeo is Saturday, November 5 at 6 PM and Sunday, November 6 at 2 PM. Rodeo is included in Admission!

What is a Pay One Price ticket and how does it work?
The Pay One Price ticket is the Unlimited Ride Wristband. This allows you to ride every ride on the Midway!
What is a midway access pass?
Avoid long lines by purchasing a Midway Access Pass. This pass will get you into a special “front of the line” line on most midway rides. Get the most value out of your Greater Gulf State Fair experience by combining your Midway Access Pass with a Ride All Day Pass. A valid RIDE ALL DAY wristband or ride coupons are required in conjunction with this Access Pass.
*An admission ticket is required and is not included in the price of the Pay One Price or Midway Access tickets.
Where can I buy tickets?
Admission Tickets are available here and The Grounds' Ticket Office will be open during Fair Hours.
*Our on-site Ticket Office opens 1 hour prior to the opening of the gates each day of the Greater Gulf State Fair.
What can I bring into the Fair?
Please read our Policies here. When you enter the the Greater Gulf State Fair, you agree to the policies set forth by The Grounds and Greater Gulf State Fair. Failure to adhere to the policies will result in your removal from The Grounds and Greater Gulf State Fair.
Where can I park?
There are acres and acres of free parking located on the south and east sides of the property.
Handicapped parking is available immediately in front of the main entrance.
If you do not have Handicap Parking, preferred parking is available for $10, and is located directly in front of the main entrance to the Greater Gulf State Fair.
Are pets allowed at the Fair?
We ask that you please leave pets at home, pets are not permitted on the Fairgrounds. Do not leave them in your vehicle. Emotional Support animals are not allowed on the Fairgrounds. Only service animals as defined by the Americans with Disability Act are allowed on our facilities.
Is smoking allowed at the Fair?
Smoking is permitted in designated smoking areas located throughout the event. Bins are conveniently located along the pathway before entering the Greater Gulf State Fair so that all butts may be disposed of in their proper containers.
Can I bring my own food or beverages?
Outside food/beverages are not allowed unless needed for medical purposes.
Formula, milk, and food for infants/toddlers are permitted.
Are concealed weapons allowed on The Grounds?
Knives and Guns are prohibited on The Grounds, with or without a valid Alabama permit to carry. Failure to comply with this rule shall result in removal from The Grounds.
Does the Fair have private areas for nursing mothers?
The Greater Gulf State Fair features a “Family Center” located just to the west of Family Land. The Family Center provides parents and children with a safe, comfortable, and private atmosphere. Rocking chairs and diaper changing stations are also provided.
Where can I find ride height requirements?
Height requirements are found next to each ride on the Size Wize chart. Please be advised that children under 42” may be required to ride some of the rides with a paying adult.
What if someone gets lost?
Lost persons will be brought to the Safety Center located next to the permanent food booths.
Where is first-aid available?
First Aid is available directly behind the Safety Center located next to the Agricultural Museum. If you experience a true emergency during your time at the Fair, dial 9-1-1. EMS is located on-site and will be dispatched accordingly.
What if I have to leave – can I come back?
Yes, but a hand stamp and an admission ticket are required for re-entry.
