VENDOR INFORMATION

When is the Greater Gulf State Fair?

The 68th Annual Greater Gulf State Fair will take place from October 28 - November 6, 2022.

How many attend GGSF?

Approximately 100,000 patrons visit over the course of ten days.

How do I submit a vendor application?

Our Food Concessionaire Application can be found here.

Our Indoor Commercial Vendor Application can be found here

Our Outdoor Commercial Vendor Application can be found here

When are applications due?

Applications are due Friday, September 30, 2022 but the earlier the better as spaces fill up quickly! Please do not call about the status of your application. If it has been over a week, you may email pascale@greatergulfstatefair.com to follow up as this is the most efficient form of communication.

Is space still available for the upcoming fair?

Selection of new vendor space will continue until all available spaces are filled.

Is there a cost to submit an application?

There is no cost to submit an application. The only fees you will incur will be if you are selected to be a vendor at the Fair.

How are vendor chosen and/or invited back?

We are looking for concessionaires and commercial vendors with appropriate and unique items we currently do not offer, attractive and well-lit stands/booths/setups, great customer service, who consistently produce a quality product, and keep their area clean and tidy.

Can I open for just a weekend or select days?

Vendors must operate all 10 days of the Fair. There may be opportunities available for touring promotional exhibits or sponsorships. Contact pascale@greatergulfstatefair.com for more information.

Are water and electricity available?

Water will be available and included with the cost of your food concessionaire space. Vendor is to supply own hoses and greywater tank. Electrical rates vary based on needs. Basic 110v power is free. The Fair Electrician will hook you up when you are ready. Vendor is to supply their own cords (and extension cords if needed).

How many badges will I receive?

The number of badges and parking passes issued depends on the type and size of the licensed space. Most concessionaires will receive four vendor badges. Additional badges can be purchased for $75 each. Daily exhibitor passes are available at a discounted rate for any employees only working for a day or two of the fair.

Where can I park?

A very limited number of parking passes are available for food concessionaire parking on Carnival Road (behind the fair). Depending on the size of your operation, you will receive one to two free passes per space and one additional pass may be purchased for $75. GGSF will not be issuing any more parking passes than that this year. Your employees may need to get here early if they would like to park close in the main parking lot and enter the fair through the main entrance to get their badge/pass scanned. Non-food concessionaires will receive a map of where to park in their vendor packet.

If free Wi-Fi available?

Select areas of the fairgrounds have free Wi-Fi for fair guests. More information will be provided in your vendor packet.

What type of insurance do I need?

All vendors must provide a certificate of insurance including general liability (with at least $1,000,000). The policy dates must cover the dates of the fair (including set up and break down days!) and must name the Greater Gulf State Fair, Inc. and the Mobile Jaycees as additional insured. A copy of what your proof of insurance should look like is on our vendor pages.

Is RV or camping space available?

Yes. Our RV sites have power, water, and sewer hookups and are $35 per day. You must send Fair Manager your check-in and check-out dates as well as notify how many spaces you will be using (such as employee bunkhouses, etc.).

What types of permits are required?

It is the responsibility of the food concessionaire to obtain any required licenses and permits to operate at GGSF. The Mobile County Health Department will be onsite to collect permit fees and conduct inspections on Thursday, October 27, and Friday, October 28. Food handlers cards are required for everyone working and can be obtained online here

What if someone gets lost?

Lost persons will be brought to the Safety Center located next to the permanent food booths.

If chosen as a vendor, when are rental fees due? What types of payments are accepted?

A deposit of half of the total amount due is required within two weeks of the execution of the Contract. All vendors must be paid in full by Thursday, September 29, 2022. We accept cash in person, checks, money orders, cashier's checks, and credit cards. There is a 3% non-cash adjustment for any transactions above $250. Other forms of payment can be addressed to: Greater Gulf State Fair, Attn: Fair Manager - 1035 Cody Rd. N., Mobile, AL 36608.

Will I need to pay sales tax?

Vendors are exempt from paying city and county sales taxes as a part of GGSF, however, you are responsible for ensuring state taxes are paid to the State of Alabama. A representative of the Alabama Revenue Department will be on site the final Friday to collect those State taxes.
